What I want to know is the results of the flash for the 3.5L. Has anyone here had the flash done? What has it done for hp, torque, rpm and mph gains? Is it worth the $810? I don't want to give them my PCM for fear the dealership will reprogram it to stock. Heck, I don't even know where my PCM is on my Charger.:4-dontknow: I am curious to know is this worth doing even though my warranty may be lost.:dork:

i have seen pcm flash's on high horse performance for 425.oo and he say's that they can give you a differnet pcm and you can keep the original in case you have to take it to the dealer other than that i know very little about it and would also like to know if its worth it or how it compares to a jet stage 2 chip???

Check out my post #36 from dyno day last week i think you will find it interesting ,
The one car that did not have a flash or have the Jett module was about 15 horses less
I tried to insert a link to another forum to show you the results but it will not take
Here is the info i posted,
How can i insert a link to another forum, if they don't allow this then i think i will people here will loose value able info
Here is my info.
The official print out shows;
I also have video of my run and have included links to some of those screens shots to back up my results.
243.8 hp @ 6000 rpm and 228.5 trq @ 4500 rpm
The print out only reflects 6000 rpm, this must be what the computer was set for on saving info.
With the B&G flash i was able to pull to 6258 rpm's on the dyno.
To see the print out and screen shot of the dyno screen collaborating the 6000 rpm numbers go to the link below.

My max horse power numbers;
251 hp @ 6258 rpms
The results are from a screen shot of the dyno screen from the link below, i can only show you a shot of the screen since the print out did not reflect anything above 6000 rpm which is what i think the parameters for capturing info were set for.

My best comparison is with Charger1, we both have modified intake and exhaust, they are different variations but similar in a way.
The main difference for our 3.5's is that he has the Jett Stage II and i have the B&G Flash.
The numbers to compare with Charger1 and me are as follows.
Mine 224 hp @ 5515rpm and 227.1 trq @ 4500 rpm from screen shot.

Charger1 were HP 230.4@5500 RPM and TQ227.5@4000 from his post.
One thing that may be the difference in my numbers being lower for the same rpm is that he is running smaller tires and wheels than i do ( i have 20's) and this will make a difference in the results.
I was really impressed with Charger1 numbers, it was something i was not expecting since I have the B&G flash.
I was impressed with the numbers on the dyno for my car that day but was expecting a difference between me and Charger1 that reflected more positively on the B&G flash.
The one thing to consider is that this is only full throttle runs and it does not reflect how one car or the other drives using normal throttle or day to day driving. __________________

OK, looked at the numbers from the dyno. If Charger1 has more hp and slightly more torque with the Jet chip, what was his top speed and RPM? Is it still 117mph and 6200rpm as factory set? The B&G program is suppose to increase both the rpms and mph, I don't think the Jet chip does this. I'm the type of person that wants the comparisons and details.

Firemnfrank, the reason you can't post a link to other forums is because they are blocked. The rules say that we can't mention other forums by name or post links to other forums... You can however copy and paste to get the post in that way. When in doubt check out the forum rules :rulez: Here:

I'm getting my PCM put in this week. I think your PCM is the same place mine is. If you open your hood mine is located in the top left corner under a plastic grate like piece bu the windshield. When you order your PCM you should also order a spare. This way if and when you ever have to go back to the dealership you swap them out and the dealer will never know the difference. Is it worth it. Well I'm getting it just because I drove a Charger with it and I drove my car. It is amazing the responsivness and power difference. Even though this isnt a "true" tune this is exactly what Im looking for at this point in time. when the true tunes come out...i'll be on that boat too.
