Sorry, but I have to vent!! As some of you know, my wife wants me to trade in her 07 Maggie for a Charger. :) I called the guy who we bought the car from and asked him if he had any "RED" Chargers on the lot. His reply was "we sure do"! So, I decided to drive down and take a look. On my way down when I got less than a mile away and had to take a detour due to construction of the overpass! No problem, I headed down the road (along with about a million other cars!!) Thought I could go a few blocks, cross over and run down the access road back to the street the dealer was on. WRONG!! It took me almost an hour to go 2 miles down the road so I could turn around on the other side of the overpass. In the meantime this dumb*** decided he wasn't going to wait and decided to pass us on the far left side (there was sooooooo much dust and rocks flying).:mad: Now, I'm getting upset and start feeling some "Road Rage" coming on. But, since I had my 12 year old son with me I kept my cool. So here I am driving into the car lot and I see this beatiful Black Charger on the front row. ;) I decide to park right next to it. We went inside to speak to my saleman and I see him sitting in his office with some young lady. Ok, he has a sale and I will give him a few minutes...so, I thought. About 15 minutes later he yelled out to the floor and asked another salesman to see what I wanted! What the hell do you mean, "see what I wanted?" I just talked to this idiot less 2 hours ago and he knew exactly what I wanted.:mad::mad: So,this other guy comes over and I tell him I would like to see the keys to the RED Charger! Oh, no problem he says. Then he says "I think my buddy is busy trying to get that young ladies phone number". And here I thought he was in the middle of selling a damn car. After waiting another 10 minutes, he comes back and says he couldn't find the keys. What kind of place are you running here??? :4-dontknow: I am usually a very calm person, however, all of my buttons have been pushed and I tell him nevermind and walk out the door! As I walk back to my car, I see another salesman leaning his fat*** up on MY Charger talking to a customer! :3-smash: A man can only take so much! I walked right up to him (told my son to cover his ears) and let him have it! It didn't take him long to move away from my car. So now, I am in my car backing out of the spot and out comes another guy. He stopped me and I told him to move away from my car or he is going to see what kind of exhaust I am running...as I run over his ***!!! :box2: He insisted I stop. I told him I was told you have a RED Charger and I don't see one. He told me they must have sold it. Yeah right!! Then he told me to take a look at the black one. I told him I already have a black one and want a RED ONE for my wife!! Needless to say, I was as mad as I have ever been in a long time. I told him a few choice words, then drove off...NEVER to return to that place.

So tell us how you really feel:D:LOL:
I feel your pain.....its amazing how the same people can cry for business and then not do a damn thing when they have a customer in the door.
Why trade the Maggie ? Is it an R/T Maggie ? I miss mine.
Also, the girl the salesman was talking too......was she hot ? If yes, was she a 10 ? That might be the only reason I would forgive him....you know, guy code and stuff:D:rolleyes:

You make me laugh, Dan. I had to tell someone! No, the Maggie has the 2.7 and she wants a 3.5 or the R/T. I think if I would have found her a RED Maggie to start with, she would be happy with it. Yes, the girl was kinda cute but I wouldn't call her hot. I have already contacted another Dodger dealership in town and will take my business there.

Well that sucked. The dude leaning on the car would have pushed me over the limits too. I might be in jail now if I walked out and saw a salesman, or anyone for that matter, leaning on my car.
Good luck at the other dealer. Keep us posted. 2 charger families are not the norm but should be in my opinion.

I guess I'm lucky my son was with me or I might be in jail too! Got to set the example. I spoke to the new guy on the phone and will see him later this week. He said they have a Challenger on the showroom floor so I better go have a look anyway. I will let you know if they have the right Charger for the wife. Thanks for listening.

And this is why we have no supporting dealerships... HA! Way to give it to them. They're trying to sell a car, there's a certain etiquette to business that has clearly been thrown to the dogs here. That last bit with the prospective buyer really makes me smile. I hope he lost the sale for disrespecting your car.

There would have been a dead salesman and I'd be in jail... you did well.
Funny how even great Dealerships have sh!tty salesman!!!!! What is up with that!?!? They cry they are not selling cars, but when you go in to BUY one -- no one wants to wait on you...
I hope you find an awesome new Dealer!
Glad you are not in jail Andy ;)
Thanks Vicki! It's their loss. SA has quite a few dealerships in town. I'm so glad my son was with me! I'm not sure if I could post the Z from a jail cell.

I hope so too! The guy he was talking to was more interested in my R/T than the SE they were trying to sell him.

Ok, here's my dealer story; about 6 months before I was ready to buy my charger I stoped at a certain which was about 2 miles from my house, I got out of my 99 Exploder sport with my daughter and we walked the whole Charger section and then walked the entire showroom passing many salesmen and even the girl in the front pretending to be answering phones, not a single person said one word to me, hello??? Well of course I walked right out the door and back to my my car vowing never to return, well I did end up returning, with my 08 Torred R/T, drove through the lot, stoped by a salesperson and asked for the manager (with out getting out of my car). Well the manager comes out and ask if he can help me and I quote "you may of been able to 6 months ago, but Maxwell Dodge down the road helped me out just fine. Rolled up my window, turned off esp, put it in manual and put a little scratch on his parking lot.

Hey Ric, one of these days I am going to surprise you and show up, hang out for a bit, drink some beer, go race some stangs with your Charger, hang out some more, drink some more beer. I got a pretty good vibe from the new dealership. I will let you know how that goes.
