Curious if anyone knows what would work to help protect the front Windshield from rocks? Thanks all

I don't think there is anything you can put on the window. My windshield looks like it got sandblasted and I have three major chips. I am just going to wait until I stop traveling for work and then have it replaced.

Even when you get it fixed you will still be able to see it. All they do is drill stop holes at the ends of the spider cracks and then fill the holes and cracks with some clear stuff. A repair just stops it from getting worse as far as I know. Maybe in the last couple years they have started something new but 2 years ago I got one fixed because insurance said it was not damaged enough and you could still see it.

EXACTLY. I had a couple of little ones filled in just the same way. They're small enough to where they're not really noticeable, but I can see them. As for protective film or something, I don't think it's legal to stick anything on the windshield....they've got the clear bras for the front bumper but nothing to protect the windshield. We've just gotta deal with it!

I just got one on the way to Toronto the other day (there's a lot of salt and sand on the roads up here this time of year). It hit square in the front windshield dead in the center of the driver's side. That's all I ever see now!
I phoned the auto glass shops on the weekend to get it fixed, and no one was open on the weekends! I think that's just plain dumb! Don't most people do stuff like this on the weekend? It's not like the dealership that has a shuttle or something.
Man, if I owned a shop I'd be open on weekends - at least on Saturday, and I'd clean up!
Sorry about the rant - ya, i chipped my windshield too.

Sorry, this is on a slight tangent, but I remember when I first got my Charger, I took some of my co workers out in it for lunch because they wanted to ride in it. As we're coming back to the office, I get into the far right lane of the freeway in order to exit. As soon as I get over, so does this big truck full of dirt and gravel! Stuff is flying out the back of this truck all over the place and I couldn't get back over to the left to pass because a bunch of cars came up on my left and boxed me in. The exit is only like 20 yards away and sure enough this big ass rock bounces up and out of the truck and come straight dead center at my windshield! All of us in the car kinda cringed and I yell out F$&%!! It hits the windshield and immediately explodes in all directions and disintigrates......it was just dirt. I swear my heart stopped, the car was only like 2 days old! I was so relieved that it was just dirt, not a scratch on it.
