hey all, as thinking of doing a big brake kit, but they are really expensive $5-6k for front and rear, would i be ok just doing the fronts? or should i just do rotors and pads with the stock calipers, any input is greatly appreciated. thanks

I'm no mechanic ... but ... I'd think the brake set up would be balanced with a certain % contribution coming from the front and rear brakes ... changing that might cause unusual wear on the pads and/or rotors? Talk to your local brake guy ...

From what I know about brakes in general, if you were to buy a kit from Baer let's say the system is meant to work together and should be installed all at once and if you do go for bigger brakes you're also commiting yourself to big rims as well. For example the brakes you have now are 13.6" plus the caliper on the front and your 18" rim fits comfortably over it, if you moved up to a 15" rotor you'll need a 20" rim minimum.

Have you looked into just upgrading your rotors to a set that is cross drilled and slotted using a ceramic pad while retaining the stock diameter and calipers? It'll be a cheaper solution, most kits are under $600.
