If you think about it, the Road & Track package intake is responsible for some of the 10 hp difference between the RT and R&T packages. What is the difference? Not the filter - they are the same. The plastic pipe on the R&T is larger, and has a conical shape.
That's interesting. I didn't realize that. I have the R&T package as well. Besides what it said on the invoice (performance suspension, steering, leather/suede seats, etc.) I didn't know much else about it. To be sure I'm getting a good product I'll probably go with the Mopar or the K&N CAI. I like the way the Mopar looks and I know I can't go wrong with Mopar. I'll also look into going with a larger pipe too.

The pipe is a standard size with Mopar 5.7 CAI.....you may want to show around for a CAI...lots of good ones out there I would put before Mopar....

I had the mopar and went to the AFE Stage II CAI...it actually produces real HP gains....Its a bazooka and i love it. It isnt fancy looking like the mopar...ita a plain black cai.
Heres some pics (on a 5.7) and video of what it sounds like on a SRT8 with no other mods.

Videos dont do it justice...sounds much meaner......and i'll say again...produces results for a fraction of the Airhammer.

Nice! Would the mount location affect the Cold Air? I would think that since heat rises...

Thanks. Got any feedback on the mounting question? Would the location actually allow Cold Air to enter?
