How to ruin intentionally $50 worth of decals (AKA: another half cover thread)
the problem:
 an engine is not made of plastic and should not look like it is! the solution (thanks MadCharger and RiderGrafix):  here's where it gets complicated. no one makes decals in go-mango, so my solution was to order a can of color matched spray paint, place the decals over the sections i painted, then repaint the whole things black. alot of effort for a set of truly custom half covers, but i think it was well worth it in the end! sanded and ready to paint, it was almost a shame to ruin their original finish:  a coat of GMG:  after two more coats:  decals go on:  resprayed in black:  decals coming off, waiting for clear coat:  $50 worth of vinyl:

They look good Solid...$50 is probably cheaper than having a pro do it and it looks like you did a good job.
 for doing it yourself and giving RiderGrafix some easy business

 MODS: Blue Interior lights, Silverstars, Flowmaster 40 Series w/ Silverline tips, Grille, 22" rims, Headlight covers, K&N drop in air filter 35% Tint all around, Smoked LED Tail lights, Charger Script windshield decal. Future Mods: Audio 10% complete (we are starting over, for the 5th time).
