I have a 2008 Super Bee that has cat back Flowmaster 40 series on it currently. I am using a canned Diablo predator tune 91 CAI in conjunction with my K&N Typhoon intake.

Other than that the car is stock. I love my Bee and it is certainly quick, but we all want our cars to be a little quicker.. I have always dreamed of a supercharger but don't have the 8-10 K now to get it done.

My questions is, will I see any real benefit from headers?

    If so how much gain?

Which brand and style would be the best?

Thank you all in advance for the expert advice!

One more thing, I know that there is a lot more functionality to my Predator tuner. I have never used anything other than the canned tune. I did remove the speed limiter. What else am I missing?

What was your HP gain from stock set up and the 91 tune ?? I have read articles where a stock 6.1 engine received a 93 octane tune along with a complete TTi exhaust system and gained 28 hp between 4800 and 5500 rpm. so the boost was all in the mid range and dropped to 9 hp at 6500 rpm. ( average hp across entire range run was 10 hp. At $ 3000.00 for exhaust system breaks down to $ 333.33 per hp then add cost of tune and dyno your probably looking at 500 per 1 hp increase What price do you put on increased hp. ??? The article came from Mopar Magazine DEC 2017 issue on a 2017 6.1

You can get a email custom tune. It will tune the engine & transmission beyond what the canned tune provides. The custom tune will reduce torque management, disable MDS, firm-up the shifting, adjust AFR (air-fuel ratio) and spark advance for performance, etc ...
There was definite improvement with a custom 91-octane on my car after installing the DiabloSport canned tune.

I reached out to Hemifever and it all sounds good.

Does anyone have experience with loading these tunes into my Predator?

Is it a pretty simple process?

Before I plunk down the $160.00 I want to make sure I'll be able to get it done.

    Thanks!

I have the inTune i2 programmer ... not the Predator ... but the email custom tune process is the same. HemiFever (Sean Powell) will send you an email with the instructions on what to do.
    The instructions basically are:
Send Sean an email with a copy the Predator tune file you loaded to your car and answer some preference questions regarding the custom tune (e.g throttle response, MDS, octane, etc ...).
Sean then emails you a custom tune file that you copy to your Predator folder (the email will include instructions). You then install this tune to your car using the Predator custom tune install menu.
You then use the Predator data logging menus to collect a couple of data logs; one closed-loop (normal driving) and one open-loop (WOT - wide open throttle). You email these logs to Sean.
Sean analyzes these data logs and emails you a revised custom tune. You copy this to the Predator, install to your car, collect data logs, email logs to Sean, Sean emails back a revised custom tune (if needed) and the cycle continues until the custom tune is dialed-in.

You can also view these data logs using the DiabloSport DataViewer on your PC. Data Viewer is a free application you an download from the DiabloSport website.

Here's a link to the Data Viewer ...

Just paid the 160 for the Hemifever Tune. I can't wait to get it installed!

GREAT communication from Sean who answered all of my questions.

Let me know he used to have an '08 Bee like mine and then I knew I had the right guy. :)
