So, about a month ago my charger started to overheat. The temps appeared to get up to around 260 before i shut it off and got it towed the rest of the way. Upon inspection i found that my thermostat housing had cracked, and most of the coolant had leaked out. I had the thermostat and housing, as well as the water pump (since it was slightly leaking as well) replaced, and the car continued to get hot (around 240). We then thought that the thermostat i had was bad, and ended up trying out two more thermostats and got the same results. At this point, we figured there had to be a clog in the radiator, so we replaced that as well, and only saw minimal decrease in temp. Now I have a RIPP 180 thermostat installed, and the car runs between 210-220 now. This still seems high for me, but maybe im wrong? Honestly any suggestions regarding getting the temp down, or information regarding normal temp would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
