Well as others have experienced, I had a slight ticking sound coming from passenger side valve cover with 40k miles on car. Kept getting louder over the next few days and 500 miles later the motor locked up. Take it to dealer, they tear apart and confirm, MDS lifter failed, flat spotted the cam, metal got in oil and then into main bearings and trashed the motor. Luckily covered under warranty by just 1 month! 3 weeks later I have a brand new orange block crate motor under the hood. Hopefully they have updated the valvetrain on the newer generation 392's. Just wanted to share.
