I looked at a 2013 Pursuit 5.7 the other day. 120k miles and 9200 hours on the engine Has some dents, interior is ok. Had a pre-buy inspection done today. Has some oil leaking from the valve covers and the intake manifold, not sure if it needs a main seal. It does need new tires. Anything else I should look for? I have gotten quotes for the repair at 700-900.00. Owner said he would take $8000.00 for it. Good deal? should I run away from it? Thanks!

That is a lot of engine hours. I have just over 60,000 miles on my Daytona and 3100 engine hours. I warm up my car on cold days for at least 5 minutes to allow the 2618 pistons to expand. So I consider my hours a bit on the high side.

2013 Charger RT's with leather interior and about 100,000 miiles are going for about $15,000 where I live (Knoxville TN) but the prices are falling and are expected to keep falling as the dealers get new inventory back up to normal levels.

I would pass also. Like said, you could end up putting $2000 into tires and oil leak problem and then something else comes up. It could turn into a Money Pitt.

I’d be wary of that many hours on it as well. My 2014 RT had 80k miles and 3100 hours on it when we did a camshaft upgrade and one of my lobes was already scratched up from a bad lifter.
I always changed oil at 3000 miles and ran full synthetic.
