Been doing some research on the alone system in my 2016 RT. Apparently I am supposed to have sound coming from the door grills, but I cant recall ever hearing any. Bought it to audio shop and they stated that the amp powers all 6 speakers in this car. Set an appointment for next week to troubleshoot.

Low and behold I am rocking out on the way home today (bass always up, Ballance middle and fade favors the front). And I hear a brief couple seconds of sound from the door speakers (at least the driver's side as I was able to touch and feel. And then it stopped.

Does the factory amp have a different channel for each set of speakers or are the door speakers daisy chained off the dash speakers (or other way around?

Any thoughts on what might be going on here?

Apparently one of the door speakers is blown, no response when on the test bench. Was told that no load on one side of channel can kill signal to other door speaker, which makes one assume that it's an amp issue when armchair troubleshooting.

New door 6x9s plugged in an working. About to hear it for the first time with all 6 speakers (that I can remember)
