Hey. My name is Andrew Johnson.

I had recently purchased a 5.7 based 392 while you guys had your March Madness sale.

I just recently had the motor installed, and ever since I have noticed blue smoke coming from my exhaust. LOTS OF IT. I am 99% sure that it is a bad piston ring. The engine only has about 1200 miles on it.

I am very dissapointed and would like a response.

Now I am out 2500 dollars for the install, since I have to now replace my shortblock ONCE AGAIN.

    Please contact me.

Im not happy about this. I thought Arrington is supposed to be "superior' than the rest...

    Please make this right.

    Andrew

No smoke, just the normal amount of water vapor after a cold start.

Will drive it more today, was changing the tires yesterday. But have had the car idleing three separate times taking it up to normal temperature.

The shop did use that Shell Rotella 15w40 oil from the start.

Still, until putting on at least 500 miles after the performance tune (meaning 1K miles after the install), I'll be way less nervous about it all.

Again hope stuff works out ok for you w/minimum hassle.

    I dont know anymore man.
I already know what they're going to say.

We are not paying back the installation fees, and we need you to take the shortblock BACK OUT and FRIEGHT it back to us to inspect it before EVEN CONSIDERING anything.

Thats another 2500 dollars! FOR NOTHING!!

I could be doing so much more with all thuis money..

Im so pissed man. Went through ALL THIS CRAP, and the shortblock is GARBAGE.

WHY DOESNT ARRINGTON SEAT RINGS BEFORE SHIPEMENT?
    OR AT LEAST TEST THEM!

Im out over FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS NOW! MAYBE MORE.

AND IM OUT OF TRANSPORTATION AGAIN.

I expected better from a NASCAR vendor.

How was the warranty process for you Dan?

How long was the turn-around time? Did you have to send them your shortblock first?

I remember you saying that they handled it like professionals, and had a new shortblock at your house within days..

It is Sunday, I doubt they answer the phone much less get on the forums on the weekend. I can only imagine how concerned you are about this but coming in here and bashing them is not helping your case. Get it checked out and call them with your findings. Hopefully y'all can work out a resolution.
