Dude you cant seat a ring without the motor running. If they built you a whole motor intake to pan they could of hooked it to a motor dyno and run her......

Im not saying Arrington will or wont do more then whats stated in their warranty. I can say if they were willing to do more for you, you probably ruined your chances buy just calling them out in public without calling them on the phone and letting them know your problems.

Also, when you buy a shortblock you need to ask the builder what they do and dont cover in cases like this. Doing such a big mod like swapping a motor is huge and there are always chances of problems coming up. Im not going to lie and say I wouldnt be pissed over this whole thing, but there are alot of variables in a case like this. The ring could of been bad, the ring could of been fine but just didnt seat properly.... who knows, but like I told you in the other thread you are bound to get more help in a situation when you approach it properly.... there is a time and a place to get ugly and you just jumped right to ugly

Stacy, the girl who posts under the Arrington Engines name is out of town due to a death in the family

I know, Im just pissed at this whole "run-around".

I wasn't ever able to get an answer about the warranty. i wasn't even "alowed" to talk to Arrington directly, since I bought through speedlogix..
So I never got any answer on the warranty. Nothing.

Im just to the point where I dont care. Since I placed my order, its been a circus act.. I feel like I've been lied to, avoided..

And now the engine's rings didnt seat.. Its been HELL.

I put EVERYTHING into this car.. Blood, sweat, and tears.. EVERYTHING.

    And now this..

Im not bashing Arrington. Im just dissapointed.

You and me both got duds from them..

Did they make you return the block before giving you another one?

    That would be ridiculous..

I hope they dont take this thread the wrong way.
I just want things to be right. Hoepfully they can makes things right

From my experience and what I have seen, calling out someone (even a vendor) makes it a lot harder to get to get what you want.

Want my advice? Delete this thread and wait until tomorrow. Call Speedlogix where you bought the motor from, and ask them to help you make the situation right.

It really sucks this happened. I just fear that they're going to try a pull a fast one..

Hummmmppppphhhhhh.........this may be some good advice.

We all feel for you but just maybe taking this suggested approach could prove better. Just a thought.

Until you have it professionally diagnosed I wouldn't make assumptions.
Its not helping situation. Also since you purchased from speedlogix are You speaking with them?

    And one more time.....
Dude.... Chill out.... You are going mad.... These things can be fixed with patience.... I dont advise you to start the blaming game or you will find yourself with no one willing to help you (Especially if you dont have documentation). I have read this thread from beginning to end. If anyone is to fix anything; it should be the stealership. But like D said, they may give you the run around. Especially after all the bull they put you through in the beginning. To me this is the build from hell, but this thread is great because it gives alot of good advice and recommendations. Just stop, woosa (remember the pressure points), and listen to what the guys who been through these situations before has to say. We are all rooting for your build to be a success, but instead of enjoying this journey with you, we are getting just as frustrated as you are because it seems that you aren't getting the point. lol

KwChico305 I don't blame you one bit. Its ****ed up to put the money out for a "professional build" and get something that isn't right. This goes both for the motor and the installer. Since it was a short block the installer needed to do somethings to break the motor in and get it going right. So this may not be all on the builder
However, I'm amazed how many vendors live and die from forums yet it really seems who you know is more important so that issues like this shed more of a bad light on the person who paid good money than the group that did something wrong.

WOW... I agree that the use of the Forum is the last result to try to resolve a vendor problem not the first route...

I know you were venting.. But a person looking or reading.. Will not view this thread as a vent thread..
I wish you the best bro.. I could only image the money you are out of and that my friend will get any one Blood Pressure up..

For now.. Step away from the key board.. (lol) and Make phone calls to Speed and Arrlington...

I apologize for jumping to conclusions so fast..

I just didnt know what else that it could've been at the time..

Im hoping its the heads. But im not ruling out the shortblock just yet..

I think Arrington is great, and they have an awsome facility. Really top of the line.
Thats why I wanted their shortblock. For quality. And with that facility and equipment, im sure they build their engines great.

Well, maybe, maybe not. It can very well still be the shortblock that is causing the smoke. Its litterally a 50/50 chance..

I will know for sure soon.
