I'm aware that the rear brakes can be adapted to work with brembos but has anyone been successful at putting them on the front using a Jeep SRT8 spindle? Is there another way this may be possible?

Im not sure. But if you just want your brakes to look cool. All you have to do is buy some caliper paint. And spray it on there. I have actually been wondering this myself. I would like to upgrade my brake system as soon as i get my car.

Reasonably certain you can't use a GC spindle in an LX/LD, regardless there's a reason the caliper is on the front; packaging. No room on the backside. What you can do (which you should've seen by now) is put the AWD BR9 brakes in. BR9 front caliper pad area is actually bigger than the 4 pot Brembo pad area. Also rotors are pretty big.
