Can't switch off imobilizer.

Hi, I have a 2006 Dodge Charger 5.7l Hemi Daytona and the immobilizer red light is constantly flashing. i cannot start the car.

I have had the key checked and its still transmitting and the car says that the key is in. I only have one key.

Can anyone help, I have trawled previous posts and cannot find a problem that seems exactly like this.

I am in the UK as we brough the car over here after owning it in California for a year.

A bad battery can affect the security system. Load test the battery. Plug a scanner into the car's OBD2 port and see if any codes are logged. Use a scanner that can read all codes (not just Pxxxx powertrain codes) as the codes associated with the car's security system are Bxxxx body codes and Uxxxx communication codes.
