Hi all, I have a 2017 Charger R/T Daytona with 5.7L that I bought new in 2018 from my local dealer. I have about 65k miles on her and my tires were down to the wear bars so my son and I took my 18-year-old grandson down a deserted road to show him how to properly burn rubber before getting the tires replaced. We did about 25 decent burnouts between the three of us before quitting. My grandson was enthralled and calls me the coolest grandpa ever. It was truly a good time for a bunch of guys. The downside is now I have a moderate clunk noise when I step on the gas from a dead stop. Sounds like something a little loose, like a motor mount or maybe the differential bushings. I also get a little wheel hop that I didn't used to get, but that may be because of a different tire type. I went with summer performance tires this time and don't regret it.
Does anyone have experience in this type of problem?
Thanks in advance!

Motor mounts are liquid filled and dry out over time.
Open the hood, hold the brakes and put it in gear. Rev it and see if the engine lifts. If it does they're shot.
Get under and shake the driveshaft to check for carrier bearing play.

OK, motor jumps up under acceleration, so it's the driver's side motor mount. Anyone know if there's a tougher one out there so I don't have to worry about it breaking any more?

I got mine on Rockauto. My tech had a hell of a time getting the passenger side out.
The originals at 93k were dried out & wobbly.
Always change both sides, just like shocks or brakes. I had him put a new trans mount too, and whole driveline has been nice & tight since.

Can't find any references here, but I am considering the BMR polyurethane motor mounts here: Free Shipping on all BMR Suspension packages!
I have some experience with urethane; I had a 2013 Focus ST that had terrible wheel hop so I replaced three of the four MM's with urethane from a different company. I ended up taking them out because the NVH was so bad. I think I'll be OK with these since I am dealing with a V8, not a turbo-4!

Maybe the style changed from my 2013 to your 2017, but those you linked look nothing like mine, which are @ 4" round and maybe 3" tall.
I'd go on Rockauto, input your info and check their options.

Pretty sure they're the same from 20xx-2023, also the Challenger and 300. They do look a little different, probably because they are urethane. I ordered them this morning and will update here when I get them mounted.
