I am looking to buy a single in dual outlet flowmaster super 44 muffler for my charger, but i have a couple questions? I am buying the muffler and the tips and then i am taking it to a shop and they are going to supply the tubing and weld it all on for me.

My first question is what size muffler should i use(ex. 2.5 in and .5 out)?

And i want chrome tips that are rolled and straight cut, now im pretty sure i want 4in tips, but im not sure the size most people are using, are these going to look to small or to big? And also where can i find these tips because i have looked all over for them.

I think 4 in tips are standard. Also for the V6's I think its 2.25 in/out. I could be mistaken. Have you got a quote on installed, muffler, tips etc? I would check out 213 sale on the Pypes exhaust. Its all SS and pretty sweet setup, plus its true dual. Install should run you too much either.

I have a stock, well not 2.5" Daytona dual exhaust with dual flowmaster 40's. 2.5 " will work. Don't go 3.0 because of the back pressure.:TU:

I bought the Flowmaster Force II Catback from Maryland Speed and it sounds and looks awesome on my 2.7L. I would recommend it!

I was quoted $175 if i brought the muffler and tips, and he would weld it on and supply the pipes, its at meineke which the one in my area has a really good reputation, so i think i am going to do it with them.

I just need to find the right size muffler and tips to match it.
This is what im lookin at right now

these tips are 2.5 in and 3.75 out

i guess my main question is if the muffler i am ordering is 2.5 inlet, will that be able to be welded to my stock pipes?

175 is a good price, 2-1/4 or 2-1/2 pipe and 3 or 4" tips will be good

I guess i must not be being clear enough, but what exact size should the inlet of the muffler be, because doesn't it need to be the exact same size as the factory piping so they can weld the muffler on. Correct me if i am wrong.
The outlet i know i want to be 2.5 and that is the same as the inlet of the tips i want, so i just need to know what size the inlet of the muffler should be.
