Who has painted your plastic engine bay accessories yourself ie strut bar mount covers, fuse box covers etc??

What did you use and how did it turn out? I tried the "high heat" primer and paint front Auto Zone and it turned out like crap! Or maybe I did it wrong?

I sanded the accessories lightly with 220 grit then a coat or high heat primer and then a few light coats of the high heat color and high heat clear coat. Once they were done they look good but the paint just peels right off with little to no effort.

What am I doing wrong and who has suggestions on the right way to do them?

Really need paint made for plastic. You would not need high heat paint for those items. Other than that besides sanding you need to clean the pieces with something that can remove all traces of any detail spray, Dawn would do it.
