hey guys so I'm kinda new to dodge always been a chevy guy. I bought a 13 charger r/t. Looking into exhaust and I look up video and what not but they only do so much. I'm think I want to do a resonator delete with borla mufflers. Or any better suggestions? I want it to sound like a muscle car but don't want it rediculously loud, just kinda nice deeper tone. Any input is appreciated. Thanks in advance

Or after more looking around a muffler delete and leave resonators? Not really wanting a drone sound either

I had straight pipes [resonators and mufflers deleted] on my 300 srt8 and the drone was unbearable on the highway. On my 16 charger I picked up a set of old school flowmaster 40 series online and replaced the factory mufflers with them and deleted the resonators. It is loud at cold start but melows out when warmed up and has minimal to zero drone, Gave it that old school sound without screaming at people.

You def. want the resonators left in place. Do the mid muffler delete and see how you like it. It will be louder, without the drone. Most aftermarket exhausts will drone especially in v4 mode. Corsa in my opinion is one of the best. All the sound is out the rear, next to zero drone and a beast when you get in the throttle.

I have the Flowmaster 40 series mufflers and Magnaflow resonators (12" perforated core glasspacks). My experience was similar to LowPar's ... "louder at cold start but mellows out when warmed up and has minimal to zero drone, Gave it that old school sound without screaming at people".
I have since loaded a 91-octane HemiFever tune and the cold start is now mellower - more consistent with the sound after it's warmed up.

If you're looking for an inexpensive modification, then the mid-muffler delete is the way to go. There's occasionally some minor drone at certain rpm's while in eco mode, but nothing that's overly annoying.

That's the same exhaust I have on mine. Sounds really good. Drone is up there but it doesn't bother me at all..

Yea I read the drones kinda bad but with the radio up you don't really notice. I always have the radio on even for a 2 minute drive so I figured I should be fine.

I'm thinking of the Hemifever tune for my 2008 Superbee. How do you like yours?

    What others had you tried?

Before I spend 160 I'm trying to gather some intel.

    Thanks!

I like the HemiFever tune real well. Performance, drivability, responsiveness, etc ... are improved over the DiabloSport canned tune. The custom tune really wakes up the performance of the car. The canned tunes are generic (one size fits all) ... which is OK ... but the custom tune is adjusted to your car, it's modifications and how well your car responds to the tune.
I have not tried any other custom tuners because I'm satisfied with the results and support I have received from HemiFever (Sean Powell).
