After reading yet another thread asking "what kind of exhaust setup should I get?" (and on a side note, I'm amazed at the patience of the members here, so many forums would be giving the new guys a hard time for not reading old posts), I think it might be a good idea to start a sticky with sound/vid clips and setups as a reference page. Something listing year, model, engine, exhaust setup, then either a sound file or video. That way, people can come here toget all the info they needed to help them decide on what they wanted for their car.

I've actually got several setups to share.

That's an EXCELLENT idea. I've been wanting to compile a bunch of different set up videos for 3.6 and 5.7 engines in one sticky thread for the longest time now. I just haven't had the spare research time to do so. This makes it a LOT easier for the newbies. I strongly approve. Reps to you :TU:.

I propose everyone post their set ups (or whatever set ups they want to post) with no discussion. Strictly info and vids like you said. For all discussions or questions, send PMs so that clips don't get lost between all the posts. If this thread picks up, you can ask any moderator for the possibility of it becoming a sticky.

Exhaust pipe sizes

I want to list the size of the exhaust piping for the sections of the different models here as a reference. Someone PM me info to help fill in the blanks, I don't want to make any assumptions and give anyone any bad info.

Gen 1

• 2.7L **BLANK**
• 3.5L **BLANK**
• 5.7L/6.1L **BLANK**

Gen 2

• 3.6L - 2.5" from the front to the "T" behind the muffler; 2.25" from the "T" to the resonators.
• 5.7L/6.4L **BLANK**

Thanks, I'm pretty happy with them.

Note: The Magnaflow Tru-X I had on before combined with the dual 9" Magnaflows I have in place of the stock resonators sounded like an absolute BEAST when I got on the throttle hard, but had such a obnoxious drone the rest of the time that I was actually embarrassed to drive the car. The stock resonators do a great job of getting rid of the drone. So do the Dynomax VTs, it seems.

OK, whoever moved this thread, it's not an SXT thread, it's about all Chargers, all engine displacements; I don't think there is a section under the performance and mods zone that covers all Chargers, that's why I posted it under the general discussion thread. Besides, that seems to be where all the "what kind of exhaust" threads start out anyway, I figured if I could get it made a sticky there it would help keep the gen discussion thread less cluttered.

And BTW, the "Mods-Engine-SXT" and "SXT Exhaust" sections should be changed from "SXT" to "3.5L". It's confusing to people with a 2011-13 SXT since we have a 3.6L Pentastar.

Ok where are the 3.5L. I have read so many threads and watched videos that I just confused myself. I want to run duals and i have seen some do true duals, others have an X pipe. Can someone please post you exact set up. No video required just need to know the way to set this up so I dont get screwed by the muffler shop.

Is this what you want to see? Most of the set-up is in the pic. I am a noob to cars to if the 3.6 is much different from the 3.5 then my apologies.
