And man I cant believe what a difference it makes. Now I just need to get my lights tinted!
Plasti-Dip. Can buy it at most home improvement stores like Lowes for about 6$ a can. Easy to use too!How did u do it
I just thoroughly cleaned the area and taped it all off. Gave it about 4 coats over the course of 5 hours. I like the way the tone turned out, almost perfectly matches the plastic honeycomb grill mesh.gotta love plasti dip. did you clear coat it aswell. if so matte or gloss
Yes its a flat black, they do sell a gloss spray also, for over top.is that a flat black bro?
Seems to me that he did. Looks pretty good too:TU:u plastidipped ur stock wheels too?
Yeah it's a flat black, but like Velocity mentioned the people who make Plasti-dip also make a product that adds a glossy finish to the black. They also have other colors besides black. They even have a color that simulates chrome/metal flake.is that a flat black bro?
Yup sure did! Was pretty easy.u plastidipped ur stock wheels too?
I taped off the entire front end of the car with painter's tape and newspaper. I used a bed sheet to cover the rest of the hood and the window incase there was some overspray (can never be too careful).Did you tape off the black portion of the grill or just painted the whole thing?
Also, did you tape off the painted part of the front end with newspaper or something?
Probably will be picking up a 2012 SE soon this weekend or next week and this is one thing I am looking to do.
I did when I plasti dipped my grill. I'm a novice at this stuff, though. So I taped off anything I thought I could accidentally spray, and then taped off more.By taping off the entire .front end do you mean you also taped the headlights?. Some more detail would be appreciated. Thanks for sharing!
