I am in need of some assistance. I am restoring a 1971 Charger with my Dad and I wanted to make my Charger with the air grabber power bulge hood out of fiberglass. Does anybody have some useful information on Companies that make fiberglass, air grabber powerbulge hoods?
Check out http://usbody.com/ they have a wide selection of fiberglass parts. Several different hoods but I didn't see an Air Grabber. The do however have the option of adding several different scoops to the existing line of hoods.
Having had a 72 with this option my concern would be all the weight assocaited with this option. you would have the vacume motor that runs the trap door, the metal ring that supports the trap door, the plastic ring that covers the metal intake plate, and the door itself. better be a very good quality fiberglass or you may run into cracking issues? sounds like a great idea.. still waitng for this to be produced for our LX based chargers
Hey! Im Roman and I'm building a 71 440 RT Clone, I need a steel one. If you come across one or find a deal on the Air Grabber Bulge Hood please let me know. Thx.
Roman
