Hey hey !!! New here ! .. glad to know I am not alone in the problems I have been facing with my beloved car. I, like so many others have noticed the bubble that formed in the top left corner of my radio, which has now spread over the majority of my screen.. and of course here comes the phantom touches and other issues that make u wanna punch tf out of it.. but of course I refrain because I really love this car .. now to add insult to injury of course.. the door panel on the front passenger side I guess felt the need to wave as it is now detached at the top and has a huge gap between itself and the door Frame... I'm guessing the had a fight (forgive me.. corny jokes ..tryna keep from crying by smiling)... well often it scratches people when hanging arm out the door.. I know dangerous right? Lol ..or myself when I'm cleaning the car .. recently contacted dodge and was told I have exceeded past my warranty and there for to fix it myself but to save my receipts just in case they develop a warranty ... in case ... they .. develop a warranty .. which by looks of it isnt going to happen . I say we start a petition to get these things fixed .. these are issues that are not inflicted by negligence or normal wear and tear ... why should we be responsible for something that is clearly a default in their manufacturing process? .. my warranty was out when I bought the car and don't see how this isn't being covered ..especially if these issues aren't occurring till after the warranty goes out .. I was so proud to have my charger .. its more than just a car to me it's my safe place..where I go when I'm stressed.. when u think of dodge u don't think of cheaply made cars.. u think of super bad ass muscle car .. I may not been able to get the srt my heart was set on but im proud of what I could get .. and to have these issues is problematic and embarrassing.. so I'm curious.. how many people are having these same issues and is willing to help me if I start a petition .. if we get enough people to actually speak up they have no choice but to hear us and hopefully make a change and fix these problems.. these by far are not cheap cars and surely not cheap to fix .. why be held responsible for something that isn't caused by us ? .. im done rambling hope I have made it bearable and hope I can get as many of u to stand up with me !

Thank you so much! u responding and helping me in reaching them is soo appreciated.. but.... as the same with the response from the email I received from them .. no luck and no help... they claim not enough people have reported the issue and the warranty being expired and so forth nothing they can do for me...though nice and completely stern with what I had to say it seemed more like a joke to them and they don't care .. so wondering if the petition will help .. if I get enough people

I don't have a lot of faith in them either. They almost sound like a glorified escort service! Your petition just might be your only resort other than forking out some cash from your own pocket.

I was thinking the same thing... but given I haven't gotten much reaction or opinions from others on this post ... doesn't look like I'll get far if I start one .. I really appreciate all ur help and encouragement.. finding people to share the same passion for this car has been hard out here

Yes, don't bother with dealers, just file a formal complaint with FCA.
I called them yesterday..filed a complaint but was told nothing they can do because my car is out of warranty .. but it was when I got it ...and was told to save receipts in case of a recall in the future :(

Hey cupcake welcome to the lower rungs of hell where multinational corporations pretend they don't know anything about certain issues. As far as the screen delamination and the ghosting issue I've had the same problem since just about the time my car was new I have an 18 SXT also. There's a class action suit active for this issue in pacificas the Chrysler minivan made by Dodge. I have heard of your other issue on other threads not necessarily the 2018 charger thread there's other ones and just general charger ones where I've heard about the delamination of the door plastic by the window that seems to be a common issue too. keep calling them and mention the words class action lawsuit that will get people's attention let me know how it works out for you good luck.

Hey cupcake I'm sorry you're having such a hard time but it took me the best part of two months and a lot of Internet searching and many phone calls to realize that you just got to keep calling and keep mentioning the words class action lawsuit. I was lucky mine had 45,000 miles on it and it was about 4 months out of 3 years 36,000 but Arrigo Dodge in Coconut Creek Florida with the explicit instructions from Dodge cares to do what they call a Goodwill out of warranty repair. They put it in yesterday I'm not sure but even looks like I got nav and I believe it's an upgraded o newer model of the touch screen it's slightly different than the original in a good way. it's awesome having my radio and my Bluetooth back.I would suggest you mentioned that you heard other people in your situation slightly out of warranty. I've gotten this fixed I think because this is becoming very common problem as I've mentioned before there's a class action lawsuit for Chrysler pacificas for the same issue . So don't give up ! if your polite but firm hopefully they will agree to take care of your problem . The touch screens control just about every aspect of the car and when it starts malfunctioning while driving it's downright dangerous . We paid good money for a well designed modern comfortable sports car this problem is also a safety issue because trust me it'll get worse over time . On the way to the dealership yesterday backing out of the driveway I got the infamous blue screen. It came back on but I would have been irate if I hadn't been on the way to get it fixed right then. Next time you talk too Dodge cares ask for the corporate number you want to talk to somebody above the supervisor at Dodge cares. After that is when I got a phone call back and was told they were going to take care of the whole thing . I wish you the best . Let me know how your case is going. Hopefully they'll do the right thing . Dodge has got a good thing going with these chargers . I don't think they want bad publicity .I was at a huge dealership and all they had was two strippers on the lot as far as 2021s and they're having trouble getting chargers. They should be willing to help you if for no other reason they don't want to mess up the good thing they got going.

Thank you so much I had already contacted fca about it basically told its my problem since out of warranty .. I just want my car the way its supposed to be the door panel just keeps getting worse and so is the screen. I'll try to reach out to them again I seen on a dealership site they're selling a used 2017 charger rt for 25,000 and the screen on the radio is doing the exact same thing .. smh

I havent .. from the looks of responses on here doesn't seem like anyone has gotten any help from them ..
That's not true. I have a used 2018 off lease charger SXT got it with approximately 14,000 miles on it. I got it to replace the 2014 I purchased new and totaled with approximately 50,000 miles on it. Felt so stupid about it I couldn't bring myself to treat myself to a brand new car so did the next best thing I got an early build 18 and sure enough the top of the screen was the laminating when I got it. Long story short didn't have any problems except cosmetic and you couldn't really see it unless you're in the exact angle where the light hit it but all the sudden it started slowly but surely and then exponentially doing all kinds of crazy things jumping from sxm to am to FM to climate control and this is while I'm cruising down the middle of the state at 70 mph. Anyway after much back and forth and reading about somebody else who got theirs taken care of when they were pass their bumper to bumper warranty I pressed on and badgered and politely threatened and sure enough a Dodge cares person got back with me told me don't worry about it they're going to fix it even after the dealership told me forget about it and it was out of the bumper to bumper 3/36000 miles but it was less than 3 years old. Anyway I was lucky I got a sympathetic ear at Dodge cares after trust me I called every customer phone number for everything that even remotely sounded like a upper level Dodge Chrysler FCA stalantis whatever upper level manager. All I can say is if you got the stomach for it and the time fortunately I wasn't working at the time and I made this my quest and I got them to replace it and it's been working great ever since. From what I understand there are some class action suits being considered I don't know if any have actually been consolidated or I don't know what the term is but I do know that this is one of their most popular cars they make a lot of money on them even though it's a 20-year-old design it drives better than things they engineer designed recently and at a much higher price point. I'm like you I love this car I love driving it fortunately even though I live in South Florida it's garage kept or if I go to a parking lot I always Park in the shade but I have noticed a little bit of delamination on the console next to my right leg. But considering my only issue with this vehicle I used one at that was the delaminating screen and it was fixed after the bumper to bumper warranty I can't say that I have any think bad to say about Dodge quality overall. It's a shame I'm hearing about so many people having problems with the door panels on my 14 I made them replace the door because it was just not coming apart but it was discolored for some reason but the new one started doing it also so I don't know it could be the glue it could be the different blend of plastic . Have you tried contacting Dodgecares? They "might" be able to help?
I got nothing but double talk until I finally hooked up with someone in authority at Dodge cares
