Key Fob recently started having issues with opening and locking my car. Replaced the battery twice. Both times it worked once or twice and then nothing. Is it possible for a key fob to just die? Replaced the fob shell about two years. So, it’s not dirt old. Suggestions would be great before heading to the dealership.

This is my biggest fear. I don’t know what year you have. First thing I did after buying a used ‘16 was new batteries for the fobs. Never had a ride that wouldn’t start with a key before this.

I have a 06 Daytona. I’m assuming the internal components have finally failed due to wear. However, had a 16 ye old Saturn that never had this problem.

Hey there! I too just replaced the battery in mine and before I did this it worked just fine. Now after battery replacement the damn fob is acting all kinds of throwed off. Sometime it will lock/unlock and remote start. Other times, nothing! I’m frustrated and feel like running over the silly thing!
