Looking to buy a 2014 charger, either a SE, or an R/T MAX. Both are AWD I'm looking to make this car last me a long time, and also a tuner that I can beat my friends with. Just curious what would be my better option going with the v6 or the 5.7l. I want power but curious if I could make the v6 faster any help would be appreciated

If you want performance - go with the 5.7L
3.6-liter V-6 makes 300-hp and 260 lb-ft of torque
5.7-liter V-8 makes 370 hp and 394 lb-ft of torque

With both models weighing in at about 4000 lbs. the extra HP/TQ of the 5.7L makes a difference. The same money you can spend on the 3.6L to make it perform better can be spent on the 5.7L to make it perform better.

Trust me, you'll be very pleasantly enthralled with getting an R/T! They are a blast to drive and the modding is fun and definitely rewarding!

Yeah, the R/T gets my vote. Since you plan on having it a while, the extra bells and whisles in the Max will be nice over the long haul. Power wise, no comparison. The 5.7 will always be ahead of the 3.6 dollar for dollar spent.
