Hello. First time poster. I have a Mopar 11 that died while on the interstate. I believe it's the timing chain. I removed cam sensor and stuck my finger inside and could move the chain. My question is should that verify bad chain and/or tensioner? Should it move? Thanks for any and all responses!

Was the recall ever done on the timing chain?

Yes the recall was "performed" but as a person who isn't green to working on cars it did not look as if it was ever taken apart

Is this movement like when the chain is rotating around the camshaft/crankshaft sprockets, flexing in/out due to loose tension or sliding back & forth on the camshaft sprocket teeth?

Did any codes get logged?

Camshaft sensor code P0340. Since the chain was still there after trying to start it several times I am assuming tensioner. It moves like the way you described, flexing
