has anyone updated their navigation map yet in their vehicle? Is it worth $150?
Yes. I'm still debating on whether it's worth the $150. It did update the streets and such that have been around here for a decade or more. So in that aspect it is good. I haven't had a chance to really test it yet though, as in a tough destination that it would try and route me some funky way. And it does look much better. Only time will tell...
Thanks for the info.... is the graphics a lot better? How about the color scheme?
I think it is better. The colors are "softer". It has a better, almost 3dish look to it now. The voice has changed slightly and is a bit more mellow.
One of my main issues with it is the voice commands. I don't know if it is part of the maps or the UConnect system in general, but trying to get it to recognize what I am saying is pretty frustrating. I can tell it to look for a Wal-Mart in wherever, Texas, and she has a bad habit of saying "No destination found for that location", or whatever she says.I usually give up and wait until I can pull over and type in the info on the keyboard (it won't let you do it while driving...even if my co-pilot...err, wife, is doing the typing).
Ok.. thanks for the info... I think I’ll wait a little before I decide...
And thank you for your service!
You're welcome. Twice.
