I'm doing a mid muffler delete on my 2016 Charger R/T!!!
Pretty damn excited about it too!
You will love it!
Best inexpensive mod I've ever made to a car. You'll like it.
Totally love it on mine. I get so many head turns and thumbs up with it that it makes it almost worth it just for that. Light to medium throttle sounds lustful as do cold starts.
Don't know if it'll help but here's a video of mine with it if you need added enthusiasm.
Well how'd it go?
You'll be pleased. Opens up the sound without the drone.
Please tell me about this. Will it be too loud for my 392...my neighbors already here me a block away . Any performance gains? Is it expensive? Than you
Not sure what it would sound like with a 392. Love the sound on my R/T. If you search around youtube or here you can find videos of the sound.
Probably very little if any performance gain.
My muffler shop charged me $60 to remove the mid-mufflers and replace them with straight pipes. If you don't like it it couldn't be too expensive to have them reinstalled. YMMV.
You can go here and listen to my 392 driving normal, and with a WOT acceleration.
There is no impact on performance that is noticeable. I would recommend starting the car with the garage closed if you leave really early. It will bark very loud, and stay loud for about 20 seconds until the baffles close back up after the initial startup.
Sounds really good, though, I love it. Cost... Between $50-100 depending on where you live. Just make sure they give you your mufflers back!
I second SolApathy. I heard a 392 with the mid muffler delete + kept rear resonators and it sounded heavenly. A little deeper than my R/T but just as lovely nonetheless.
