Car only got 22k miles and few burnouts later the rear tires are gone! :O
I am looking into getting wider tires and not sure what will fit perfectly. Currently, I got stock 245/45r20 on 20 "Black Envy" 5-Pocket Wheel
(82212816). I am thinking to go with 295/35/20s nitto invo in rear and keeping stock 245/45r20 in front ..will this work fine? What will be the best size tire that I can go with these wheels? I need tire that is wide enough to look mean and close little more of wheel gap (springs coming after warranty).

Thanks Z! :TU:

Not sure what to tell you here. If you're running 8" wide wheels, you can probably go a LITTLE wider than 245, but I wouldn't push it that far... Someone else here can probably chime in with some more experience, though.

P.S. Best signature I've ever read! :D

If you look up those tires, it says they are recommended for wheels 10"-11.5" wide. 245/45R20 tires are 245 mm wide which is 9.645 inches. A 295 tire is 11.614" wide. Tires are usually wider than the wheel but you can only go so far before they wont seat properly on the wheel. But it all depends on the tire so you you have to look at the specs on each size. You should have no problem running a 255 wide tire but past that, you are probably going to run into issues.

I would not run 295's on those wheels. They are only 8" wide. I've seen some people go with 275's, but even those are not recommended for an 8" wheel. Technically, you shouldn't go any bigger than 255's.

I just installed 275s on my 9" rims and they bulge. It looks good, and the tires went on okay, but I definitely wouldn't try anything bigger. 275s on an 8" rim sounds like a bad idea.
How does it go? "Pics or it didn't happen"...? :D

I've done at least three sets of 275's on three different set of 9" rims (Toyo Proxies 4's, Toyo Proxies ST II's, and Hankook Winter I-Cept Evo's - all in 275/40r20). They were all snug, but they fit without problem.
