Just a quick update on my Overkill tune. All I can say is wow! I couple more revisions on it should be complete.

The car definitely feels like a 460whp car now. 1-2 shift @ WOT lays 2 15-20' black streaks!! I thought it was a lazy trans or slow shifting, but it's annihilating the tires. Once we fix a little of the drivability issues it should be good.

I recommend Will at Overkill for sure.

Ran the 91 tune over the weekend. Nahhh. Like the 93 better. I think my engine likes the extra spark advance. As a matter of fact, now I'm seriously considering a water/meth injection system. Gonna get Will to write me a tune with tons of advance.
I wrote him about throttle bodys, his site said out of stock. Said he'd have new 80mm ones ready to ship by the end of the month. Might jump on that and see what he can tweak with his tunes to accomodate. Just worried about warranty issues. Going to buy new instead of a swap, so i can always revert to stock if need be. Not at injection level yet, seriously thinking about dress up stuff after tb. Want it to be veteran/military themed stuff.

I've been back to the dealer on 2 different recalls and nothing was said about the tune I had installed. One time was with the DS 91 tune and one time with the Overkill 93 tune. The last time (third time) though they did some "upgrades" on the programming and reinstalled the factory tune. I drove it like that over the weekend and that Monday I just reinstalled the Overkill tune and everything was good again.

Diablo guys on website suggested i just swap pcm since i got stock one. But now you have me wondering on updates, since they would be on stock and not on car once i revert back.

I've only done 0-60s
So do I. :)

With the 91, its smoother for daily driving.
With the 93, the shifting on my 5 speed is more clunky and the car screams and is faster at above 3,500RPM. 91 is better than 93 at lower RPM cruising.

I do plan to go back to 93 when I put the summer shoes on the car and recalibrate my tire size. In a few weeks, we will finally get the better summer blend gas.

Not super related but I keep seeing "75 cent mod" in a few people's signatures and since I am fairly new to modding the V6, what is the 75 cent mod?

Edit: Never mind I found what it is..
Youtube it, its welted seat cord, one end is tubular and the other flat that allows it to fit around door seams, dash bezel, etc. Gives it a good look. Called 75 cent mod since thats the average price per foot. Comes in all types of colors. But youtube you can see how its done

Have any of you tried out Overkill's 87 octance tune?

I am wondering what the differences are between the 87 and 91 octane tune.

Has any one done tests (Dyno/0-60 etc)?

Or is the 87 octane not really worth it?
I had him make me an 89 instead of 87, difference is its still the slowest of the overkill tunes. Maybe run it if you dont feel like 91 prices lol

I've bought most of Overkills products and I'm very happy with the results. He got me to 331whp and 317wtq. Need to wait till spring time to see how I do on the strip for 1/4 miles.
