Does anyone know if, for example, you put a 2020 pcm in a 2018 scat would you get all the options a 2020 scat have? Have all 2020 parts and have tazer so i know the drive modes would work fine, more asking for navigation, i have blind spot side mirrors but computer doesnt have option to access it, things of that nature. Would upgrading pcm give those options? Are those pcms even compatible?

Navigation and such are not a PCM function. It is the Uconnect program. Putting in a 2020 scat PMC would not work at all. Think of the PCM as mechanical (transmission, engine.....) functions. BCM (Body Control Module) and Uconnect for everything inside the car.

As tacamo01 mentioned, the BCM (Body Control Module) controls most of the car's "features", allowing enabling or disabling features (options). For example, on my '15 Rallye, I used AlfaOBD to enable several "features" in my BCM, such as Performance Pages, leaving fog lights on with high beams, and opening the front windows via the key fob.

The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) controls engine & transmission parameters.

The PCM (Powertrain Control Module) controls engine parameters. The TCM inside the trans controls transmission functions.
