Hey everyone,

I may be completely wrong in this question, but does the remote start feature make the car louder for a temporary amount of time? It seems significantly louder when I remote start it, instead of push button start. This may be a complete illusion. By the way I own a 19' scat pack.

It sounds louder when it’s a cold start and is on fast idle until it idles down

It sounds louder because you are outside the car rather than inside pressing the button......lol

Your not imagining it. It is louder but like an above poster said it cause it’s cold. I replaced the stock exhaust and the noise shakes my house for 30 seconds till it’s warm!

A bit late to this but to my understanding the "flaps" in the active exhaust are held open on startup, until its warmed up. I'd say when you are remote starting, its a cold start, and when starting from inside, the engine is already warm.
