So I've got a '16 Charger with a busted adaptive cruise control sensor. In its original setting it should have the sensor numbered 68199450AF. However, they seemingly updated it for the '17 MY with the sensor numbered 04672579AA. Now, the thing is that these sensors are pretty damn expensive, except for one slightly used example of a 04672579AA sensor for which I found a great deal.

So I wonder how difficult it can be to program this newer version of the sensor to work with my '16 car. The sensors look exactly the same, are priced exactly the same down to the cent (dealerships offer them new at exactly the same price), and looking at the ACC looks and behavior in the dashboard between '15 and '19, nothing has changed and everything looks exactly the same.

Still it would suck to take a plunge on this newer sensor and for it to end up not working. Anybody got any thoughts on how viable or not it might be? Cheers.
