The shift knob on my Charger has some scratches on it. How can I get them off? Or would I have to replace it altogether?

If I have to replace it, would anybody know the part number and how hard would it be to replace?

Thanks.

Here’s the part number: 5PL751XCAN. Pretty pricey though. There’s a few YouTube vids out there that shows how to install those Barton shifters like this one

Thanks. And you were right, not cheap at all.

Maybe get lucky and find one on eBay or your local pull apart
First place I checked. Didn’t find many and the ones I found were almost the same as buying from dealership. Thanks.

Don't give up on checking. I wanted a D/S Shifter cover for my 14 and everywhere I looked it was $140-200. Until one day I checked and found a used perfect one for $50 shipped.

Have you tried to polish the scratches out? Any Harley dealer stocks polishes for windshields, plus you might try one of the many headlight polishing kits that all the auto parts stores carry.
