I recently bought the Solo Performance Exhaust system for my Charger and I couldn't be happier. It finally makes the car sound like a proper muscle car.

It has a deep idle tone and an aggresive growl when you stomp on it. It truly is an on demand system and it quiets down under a normal cruise. I daily drive the car and there is virtually zero drone with this system.

I can't say I have anything bad to say about Solo Performance.

I have one on my 2015 R/T as well. I agree with everything you said. It is my favorite mod!

Nice!! I hated turning on this car and then... nothing. Now I use the remote start every time I can!!

The only thing bothering me now is the look of the fake exhaust tips on the bumper. I'm going to swap that out for the one on the police Chargers and slap on some nice looking stainless steel exhaust tips. That'll keep me happy for a while.

I thought about that too. I was torn between that and keeping the tips stock. After hours of trying to find the exact tips I had in mind, I decided to just stay stock.

By the way, I like your video. That should really help those considering the Solo. I always was going to at least do a startup video, but never got around to it.

Had one on my V6 charger and loooved it. So did the HEMI guys in my car club. So I can only imagine how awesome it is on a HEMI. Took off the fake fakies as far as the tips and went with some from Solo. That made the growl even smoother. I would recommend it. But nice purchase.

Glad you liked it. It's always helpful having a video to hear when searching for exhaust systems. I was sold on this one when I heard the sound on the Solo website.

No they were just regular tips but they still made a difference. I'd go with some and see if it makes it even better. Plus the looks of the tips over the fakies in the back can't be overstated.

Did you lose any low end torque with the solo performance catback?

I did not notice any myself. It still pulls like a banshee. In winter months, I can pull sub 5 second 0-60 times.

Other than the change in exhaust note, is there any performance gains from the solo or another aftermarket exhaust over the stock Hemi R/T exhaust?

When you free up an exhaust, you should get more low end torque.....I dunno maybe todays technology has different witchcraft added to it. Does anyone have this exhaust broken in that can say how loud it is. I'm looking for an exhaust that is slightly louder/deeper. But I don't like drone sound on the highway. 20 years ago, I would have said give the loudest most obnoxious sound you can give me.

I haven't noticed any performance loss with this kit. I have noticed however that I can break traction on the back tires earlier on the throttle range than before.

Typycally getting rid of the exhaust faster gives you some gain but I can't find any HP or Torque gain figures from Solo. Doing a tune with the new setup would definitely increase power. I would like to dyno my car and compare to stock numbers some day...

I love the look of quad tips and yours look really nice. I wonder how mine would look with a similar setup.

The solo exhaust is pretty loud, it has a unique sound to it at WOT, sounds almost like a machine gun or something. Regarding drone, there is no real drone to speak of. The really nice thing about this exhaust is if you drive with a light right foot it's not that loud, but if you drive with a heavy right foot, it's considerably louder. Just use your right foot as a volume adjuster ;)

They are on a Borla S type as said above seems like all the exhausts are mellow to you get on them , I have seen you can get it just as loud by taking out the mid mufflers

I just bought and installed the solo mach xl and i was a little disappointed. I had done the mid muffler delete already so when i changed over to solo the difference was minimal. It sounds deeper throughout all 5 gears but it is quiter than the mid muffler delete.
If i had a recomendation i would tell people to do the mid muffler delete and do headers. But i am no exhaust expert.

^^^ To me, it sounds similar, except at WOT. I think the mid-muffler delete is raspy at WOT. But the Solo is not.
