Hi everyone,

When I introduced myself here I said I would be asking stupid questions, and here comes the first one.

Something hit my 2006 Charger R/T on the highway the other night and shattered the cover of my passenger side headlight casing. My first thought was to just replace it only to find out that my local Dodge dealer wants $269 for one factory headlight. Considering I can get a pair of nice halo headlights for less than that, I figured I may as well upgrade.

As I was looking at options, I kept seeing warnings that the headlights wouldn't fit if I already had factory HID lights. So the stupid question is: How do I know if my headlights are factory HID and not the regular factory lights? The lights look the same as on most other Chargers I've seen.

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it.

They didn't release factory HIDs until 2008 so you won't have them.
