Can anyone explain why I keep going through 180 thermostats like it’s nothing. This is gonna be my 7th one I'm getting after camming and e85 my 5.7 300 a few months ago. Everytime I change it out temps are normal for a little while around 185-190 while driving and at idle. Then out of nowhere temps jump back up to around 215 while driving and at idle. Fan settings are all good, no leaks or nothing even bleeding doesn’t work. It’s just annoying at this point. Maybe it’s cause I was using auto zone and advanced auto parts thermostats lol but still. Mishimoto thermostat on the way hopefully it last with no issues

This is often overlooked! Definitely make sure it's in the correct position. Don't know if that would be reason for 7 failing though but it's a good place to start with the new one. I've actually read bad reviews about the duralast t-stat online, if that happed to be the one you were buying
