So far The modifications have all been performance enhancing. However I came across this hood and I can't seem to get it out of my head. So the pros are it's very aggressive. However? Is it too much?:4-dontknow: It is very similar to the former (Dodge) Viper hood. All of the vents are real so I think it might also help keep the engine a little cooler. That way the heat can escape and when moving Air can get in. Now that leads to rain also getting in. Do you think that the rain would be a problem. My baby rarely sees rain so I think I should be good but would be nice to have a few other opinions. Thanks!

I saw that hood in person at the Mega Mopar show in St Louis at Gateway Racepark. It was on a sick plum crazy purple 2nd gen Daytona. It looked really cool, but I would never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever put one on my ride, for one simple reason.

All of those vents dump strait on the engine. any rain, or dust, or bird bombs, etc that might normally land on the hood, will now fall into your bay all over your engine. Given the time, effort and money I've put into my bay, that is an instant no go for me.

Nothing wrong with that hood I plan on buying it with tax return. Now I would not recommend it for a daily driver but I store my charger and drive her only on nice days and then it will work out fine. I think they make screens now to fit in them as well but not for sure.

I love the way that hood looks but the thought of all that water coming in to the engine bay really scares me away. If you never drive your car in rain, then I don't see much of an issue so it all depends.

I saw this hood on a Charger in Hawaii. It rains a lot out there too. I like it but it looked too aggressive. To me it makes the rest of the stock body look super plain.

Just saw this on a daytona blue 2012 Daytona R/T. It was sooooo sick looking! He made the whole car look like an SRT8, badges and all. Why?? I don't know. He stuck all that money into the car and then traded it in for.... I believe it was an '06 300C SRT8. A case of having too much free government casino money and not enough things to spend it on.

You shouldn't worry about water under the hood, all the electrical connectors are sealed and these modern cars have that giant engine cover to shed water off anyway. I ran my 73 Satellite for 2 years without a hood, it sat out in the weather all the time. The only problem I had was keeping the chrome polished!
