This years annual meet & greet will take place on Sunday May 19th (12pm) @ Mohegan Sun & Casino in Uncasville CT. to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project.
I was unsure as to what we should do for a fundraiser this year - mainly because I will be away for a few weeks in April, so I don't have the time to fully dedicate to prepare. However, I decided the Northeast Mopar / Challenger group needs to give back in some way. Every year we have dedicated this meet to either a soldier or Homes for Troops. We have many members who are in the military or have served. So with that said, lets keep the trend going. :head3:
Let's start with a 50 / 50 raffle. If others want to step up with car related donations,, please feel free to do so. Let's do it and do it big! Plus I am getting really pissed off with this weather, so I can't wait for this event. Respond to this thread if you plan on attending and where you are located.
Awesome! I will be putting a list together in the upcoming weeks of where everyone will be coming from,,, that way there you can hook up with a convoy from NY.
OK - Here is an updated list of attendees. Please review to make sure I have you in the correct convoy. I've kept the convoy meeting times and location the same as last year. If there is a change to the convoy, let me know. I will try to update this list once a week.
MA Convoy – Home Depot parking lot. Off 395 exit 4A. Meet at 10:30am – departs at 11:00
Great news! Our event is now officially registered with the Wounded Warrior Foundation!!
This means our meet and greet fundraiser will be posted on the wounded warrior event website. I will also have wounded warrior swag that will be donated by the foundation which will be available at our meet up. We will have a 50/50 raffle to raise funds. Also there have been a few folks who will be stepping up with car related items for the fundraiser,,, but we need more people to step up with items. Please let me know if you have anything to bring to help raise money. Also - I have provided a link below that will take you right to our on-line fundraiser page. Last year we raised a little over $3,000 for a marine Sgt. who was injured oversees. That proved to be a tremendous donation by the Northeast Mopar group in helping with his recovery. Please donate what you can for this years fundraiser.
The Wounded Warrior project hits close to home for me. My cousin served as an Army medic in Iraq. When he came back he suffered from PTSD as do so many soldiers. He passed away on Dec. 23rd of last year,, two days before Christmas and three days before his 30th birthday. I'd like us to raise money for those veterans returning from oversees so they can get the help and support they need. "Wounded Warriors is a problem for all of us and together we can help those who served our Nation."
Update on the attendee list. I've added several NEW names to the list. If your name is listed twice,, so be it. Just make sure you are in the correct convoy. I would like to remind everyone that this will be a fundraiser for the Wounded Warrior. Folks need to step up with items to donate for the raffle. I will be away for a majority of April as well as the first week of May, so I don't have anytime to reach out to vendors. As it stands now, we have a 50/50 raffle and a handful of items that people said they will donate. If you want to raise $$ for a great cause,,, donate any items and cash to the fundraiser. Thank you!!

I've added many new names & rides to this years cruise / meet. If anyone can help bring a table, donation item or can help with raffle sales, etc. let me know.
For anyone who has never been,,, this is a great day. Its basically just a cruise - then meet & greet @ Mohegan Sun casino followed by a small fundraiser to help raise $$ to Wounded Warrior. We are meeting just outside the Winter Street garage @ 12pm. then we will all drive up to the top of the garage where it will be blocked off for us. Plenty of space for cars and a great spot for pics.

WWP also sent a bunch of each of the below items,,. stickers, wristbands, magnets, buttons & pamphlets. I will have these available on a table to whoever wants.
I dont know about guttus or cleary524, but me and TorRedSRT are leaving from the warwick area and going 95 south. If guttus and cleary524 want to meet up with us thats more than cool. I was wondering if the mass convoy is going 95 s thru RI - we could just catch them off an exit.
Hey all,,, we are currently a less than a month away to the big day in May! Below is an updated list on attendees. We currently have over 100 cars listed. Thank you to those who have stated they will be bringing donations for our raffle to raise money. Please consider bringing an item to help raise $$ for Wounded Warrior. Also - keep spreading the word. I would love to see some older Mopars in attendance.

I will organize RI. 1000am meetup time at Toys R Us at RI Mall. LEAVES at 1030am. Its 15 min outside providence and right off the highway. I know this will work for me, Tuncup and TorRedSRT.
I will be attending with a 2012 Charger RT from Long Island. My buddy with his 2012 Challenger SRT will also be coming. Just not sure if we will meet at the Long Island start or take the ferry up to CT as we live out east on Long Island.

We have lots of us heading down 95. most of the NEMC is heading that way with the exception of a few heading over from CT. I know the Sandy Hood Tribute Durango is heading that way...........

One week from today and Mopars take over Mohegan!! From the look of responses,, the convoys traveling to Mohegan are HUGE and we should see a great turnout for the fundraiser. All money that is collected will go to the foundation. I will make a direct deposit the following Monday to the below link.
For those who can't make it, please consider making any monetary (tax deductible) donation. Your support would be greatly appreciated to those veterans who struggle with PTSD. Thank you!! The countdown is on!
I will be meeting up with the Long Island group in East Meadow. Coming solo with mt 12 Charger RT. See ya there!
This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread. Please consider creating a new thread.
