I noticed a lot of people having water pump issues at externally low Mileage.. I have the road and track pack. I have beat this thing all across the country. I’m at 156k and it’s still going strong. I want to replace it before it does go out, but I’m worried about “getting a bad one”. Does anyone have any insight on if the problems been fixed or not?

Does the same apply to the radiator? I had my original replaced two years ago when it developed a major leak. They did not use a Mopar replacement. The dealer got the radiator from O'Reilly's Auto Parts. The water pump was not replaced at that time. Just recently it failed again, but not as bad of a leak. I went to a different dealer this time. Both the radiator and the water pump were replaced with Mopar parts.

I was one of those that had my water pump go out early (27,000 miles). I replaced it with a remanufactured pump before finding out those were crap. Ended up getting a OEM water pump with 33,000 miles or so and it has not failed in 8-9 years.

Like said, if it isn't broke don't change it and chances are it will last a lot longer than you think. You have one of the good ones.

I had mine replaced at 54k miles and wondered why so early at normal daily driving. Had it replaced and now I have double the mileage and replacement still going strong. Could be just production or assembly problems being it was the new model design from the 2014 model.

My 2013 WP failed @ 113k miles. Almost 200k miles now on the replacement MOPAR pump.
