So its time for tires, and i really cant make up my mind. I have standard rims, not changing that for now. I have always used bridgestones for my ram, but well my chargers not my truck.

Looking for ride comfort, performance (steering)(grip), plus gas miles and a good grip in the rain is important to me.
We really do not get much snow here mid south, plus i just drive my blazer 4x4 if it gets really bad snow here.
So i guess i am looking to see what brands have you guys liked? Right now i think i am down to 2 choice's.

    1: 80,000 mile Goodyear assurance comforted touring's , 144.00 each
    2: 80,000 mile Falken Sincera SN250 A/S , 126.00 each

Any better suggestions without killing the wallet? Trying to stay under 650 but will spend more if worth it.

Thanks for any info / suggestions

I had Michelin Pilot Sport AS 3's on my Challenger they held up good and generally were a good tire all around.I also had Firestone Firehawks on it as well IMO they were a bit quieter and had a bit more wet traction. The Charger has Fire hawk GT's on it.No complaints.

Your gonna hear many many options here. I went with Cooper Zeon RS3-g1's and they're awesome. 50k mileage tire, smooth as butter and awesome rain grip. Also very quiet compared to the GY F1's that were on it. All in at just under $800. I've put about 3k mileage on them since installation and still love them.

At your preferred price point, that's gonna be tough to get a good name brand tire. Continental DWS's and Michelin pilots are also very good choices but come at a cost. I did a bunch of looking before purchasing and chose the Coopers. I've had good luck with them over the years. I've had about 5 different cooper sets of tires and all were good tires.

Are you on factory 17's? Based on your criteria, I would probably recommend the Hankook Optimo H727. They have a mileage warranty of 100k with a $50 rebate as the cherry on top. The Falken Sincera is not too bad; it is comparable to the Toyo Extensa HP A/S if you want an alternative.

Thanks for all the feedback. I will take a look at all those tires you have suggested. I am just now getting ready to pull the trigger on buying a set, as i am just about to the tread marks on these kelly tires. I can tell i am close, when it rains, i can feel the grip has diminished.

Watch for tread warranty, the longer the "life" the harder the tire. Softer tires will grip but wear fast, harder tires will slip but last longer.

I'll throw in and say that I've been extremely happy with the Continental tires I just threw on: http://www.continentaltire.com/product/extremecontact-dws06-20545zr17-88w

Great grip in the dry and wet, pretty much everything I was looking for in a street tire. You'll pay for them, but they're worth it.

Dang, they look like nice tires and good ratings, but i have the SE, : ( and they do not seem to make it in my size. But i did find some Continental Truecontact's at a good price. 90,000 T rated that are 17's. So many to choose from, lol.

Ill second the Continental DWS. I dont know the wheel size on your model, but you may still be able to get them if your interested.

My OE size was 235/55-19 but I moved up to 255/50-19 to get this tire. They fit well and are a tad wider. They handle a lot better than the Hankook Optimo's that came from the factory.
