2014 Charger SXT--the wipers will not cut off--any one had experiences with this and the possible causes. I turned the blinker in and the washer fluid started coming out and the wipers came on and they would not cut off--had to remove the fuse. Any ideas..
The multi-function switch provides inputs to the Steering Control Module (SCM) internal to the Steering Column Control Module (SCCM) for all of the wiper functions. The SCM then sends electronic wiper switch status messages to the Body Control Module (BCM) (also known as the Common Body Controller/CBC) over the Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus requesting the appropriate wiper operating modes.
Wiper operation is completely controlled by the SCM and BCM logic circuits.
If the problem continues after the fuse pull, plug a OBD2/CAN scanner into the car OBD2 port and see if any active/pending DTCs (diagnostic trouble codes) have been logged.
