well i've heard and installed both of these woofers and i'll say this...either one of them you will be impressed with. I'm currently getting ready to switch over to rockford woofers so i guess i'd say rockford but trust me alpine is the real deal.

 

i have always liked rockford. i have 2 of their 10in woofers in my truck. my truck is all Rockford speakers and amps and my SRT is all Kicker. i always bought rockford or pioneer till i got into kicker stuff.

 

Honestly, you can't go wrong with either sub. I am a fan of both and those are two of the best for $120. I ran two Alpine's with a Precision Power amp and absolutely loved them. Super clean! But, the Rockford's are good too!

I've ran booth in the past and what Bontebok says here is how I'd decide. Both great products.

 

really you cant go wrong with either. what kind of amp are you gonna run?

 

i'll reiterate what everyone else has said, you wont be dissapointed either way. flip a coin to decide. personally i prefer alpine subs and fosgate amps, but thats just a matter of preference
