I had to read it 3 times to understand. That is the traction light, it usually comes on when the wheels are spinning at different speeds, doing a burn out or lost traction on rear wheels while taking off. Most of the times the ESC light comes on accompanied by the ABS light and sometimes with the E BRAKE light. With a scanner read the codes, it might show the bad wheel speed sensor. If you have a fancy scanner you can open the ABS setting and see the speed of each wheel independely. They cruise control won't worked because the ESC light is on, once fix it should work again.
