Does anyone know the torque specs for these bolts?
  • Head bolts (big ones)
  • Head bolts (slmall ones)
  • Rocker-bar bolts
  • Head cover bolts
  • Big Pulley bolt

I'm in the middle of taking my heads off for a cam install, and these ones seem a bit important.

I've got a 5/7L Hemi engine.

Thanks!

Nope. I'm flying solo. It's not too difficult, but definitely going slower than yours did. :) BTW, I've got a head off, and I see there are 4 sets of 4 rollers that are held in by a plastic piece that's got a funny fastener holding it in. Do you happen to remember how to get this off?

Thanks for the specs!

Here you go, Trent.
Cylinder head:

M-12 Bolts
Step 1 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)
Step 2 54 Nm (40 ft. lbs.)
Step 3 Turn 90°

M-8 Bolts
Step 1 20 Nm (15 ft. lbs.)
Step 2 34 Nm (25 ft. lbs.)

Crankshaft pulley bolt spec is 129 ft. lbs.

Here`s the tightening sequence for the rocker shafts.

and torque specs:
195 inch pounds.

Trent, make sure you note INCH pounds. Not foot pounds. Realistically you can just tighten them by hand until they`re tight. Just be careful not to overtighten. You can strip the threads.

Here`s the valve cover sequence.

The torque specs are 70 INCH pounds.

Is there anyone over there helping you?

Yeah, lifters, I guess. I've attached a picture.

When you say you removed them, do you mean just the lifter, or also that bracket-of-4 thing as well?
