Out running my weekend errands this morning, and this late model (10-13) stang passes me and stops at the red light. I pull up in the left lane, and wait for the light. He hits it hard, gets a lil rubber, so I figure why not, it's early, nobody else out...so I hammer it. Take off like a rocket....by the next light I have him by 2 cars easy...lights changing so I slow and stop. He pulls up on my right and waves and points ahead...ok race on! Light changes, he hits it and gets a lil rubber, I gently roll a bit then hammer it....hit about 85 and noticed he was at least 3 cars behind me. I kept going and he tried, but didn't seem to be able to make it. Pretty sure he had a week six under the hood. I just ran off and left him....

Oh, I forgot to mention, I was in my 5300lb, 03 DURANGO...LOL

the guy in the mustang can't drive. race a newer V6 stang at the track and you will probably lose. they run low 14's in the 1/4 and hit 60 in mid 5 second range. your durango would be lucky to hit low 7's 0-60 and might manage 15 seconds in the 1/4 if you're lucky.

congrats on the win but don't expect that result everytime!

Unless it's the 2010 V6 Stang. It still has the 30-year old 4.0L V6.

That engine, and its older variants, are single-handedly responsible for the reputation of V6 Stangs being complete laughing stocks, which finally ended in 2011 with the vastly improved 3.7L V6.
