OK guys, i'm being haunted by the ghost of the Wireless Control Module. Has anyone evey needed to replace their WCM on their car??? Here is my issue.....back in the day, this part had to be replaced TWICE on my Caliber now i am waiting for a new one for the Charger. On Christmas Eve i went to use my Auto Start....the car did every thing it should do except when it started it would only run for about 2 seconds, shut itself off, then keep going through the whole process of starting again, running for 2 seconds and shutting off. This kept up until i got in the car and put my foot on the brake to get it to stop. I had to wait a couple of days to bring it in to the shop and the mechanic said they would have to replace the WCM because the car was doing that since in its brain it thought someone was trying to steal it!!! :O As soon as they said "Wireless Control Module" i almost got sick because of what i had already gone through with the Caliber. Oh well, keep your fingers crossed and i'll let you know what happens when i get the new one installed. I just wish i knew if this has happened to others so i don't feel like i'm being haunted by this damn thing!

Indeed Rare!

I've not heard of a lot of customers with this problem. In fact you're the first with a Charger. I wonder if that's truly the problem or just the fall back position for the dealership doing the work? Are you parking your car where aliens can beam intense radio signals at your car? Three WCM's in two different cars has to be some kind of record.

Seriuosly, the car starting, running for two seconds and then shutting off sounds like a problem with the anti-theft device in the key system. I've seen that problem on a couple of trucks. I think the WCM is involved but it may not be the exact cause, it may be in the ignition pick up.

Keep us posted please!
